Leon the Bear

Leon is an 11 inch bear.
He has 5 joints - arms, legs, and neck. Designed in 2006 by Mary Beckner Houseman.
During the class. We will be discussion pattern layout and sewing techniques.
Students should bring:
Sewing machine
Quarter yard of fabric for the body
At least a 6x6 inch scrap of fabric for paw pads
Matching thread
Straight pins
Fray check
POLYFIL
Sharpie or marking pen
Your favorite stuffing tool.
I will provide for students usage:
Pattern
Heavy upholstery thread for closing up stuffing
Openings
Joints and hardware
Glass eyes and sinew
Assorted needles
Tools for jointing and stuffing
Class will run 2 days.
1st day is pattern layout and sewing.
2nd day is turning, jointing, stuffing, closing,
And face completion.
After the class. Everyone can use the pattern as needed. I just ask that you donate to your favorite charity or mine.
